The following is a list of all the airplane and train arrival stops in Berlin including detailed directions on how to reach our institute by public transportation. Tickets for public transportation can be purchased at any BVG (public transportation) counter or from the orange automats located in all subway stations (U-Bahn and S-Bahn). Bus drivers also sell tickets but are usually unable to give change for large notes. You will need the ticket Normaltarif AB which costs DM 3,90 and allows you to use all buses and subway lines for two hours.
Take bus # 109 in the direction of Budapester Strasse and get off at subway station Jakob-Kaiser-Platz. Take the blue line U7 in the direction of Rudow until you reach the station Fehrbelliner Platz. Here you will change to the green line U1 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride five stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.
Take bus # 171 to the end. This will put you at the subway station Rudow. Take the blue line U7 about 25-30 minutes until you reach the station Fehrbelliner Platz. Here you will change to the green line U1 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride five stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.
Take subway line U6 in the direction of Tegel. Ride 1 station to Mehringdamm and change to line U7 in the direction of Rathaus Spandau. Ride 8 stations to Fehrbelliner Platz where you will change once more to the green line U1 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride seven stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.
Take the orange subway line U9 in the direction of Rathaus Steglitz. Ride 2 stops to Spichernstrasse and change to the green line U1 in the direction of Krumme Lanke. Now ride five stations to Dahlem Dorf and follow the directions below.
Take any of the subway lines S3, S5, S6, S7 or S9 to the station Zoologischer Garten and then follow the directions above.
Take subway line S5 or S7 to the station Zoologischer Garten and then follow the directions above.
When you exit the subway station, go to the bus stop just a little to the left of the circular flower-bed. Do not cross the street. Then take bus #183 two stops to Arnimallee. (There is a gasoline station on one corner and a little yellow hut on the other). Plaese have a look at our plan of the conference location. The subway station Dahlem Dorf is at the left edge of this plan.
